2 Tons Included vs. 1 Ton Elsewhere
The weight allowance is the real difference between rental companies. A dumpster full of shingles, flooring, drywall or yard waste gets heavy fast. If a company includes 1 ton and you load 2, you pay for the extra ton on top of the rental. We include 2 tons, and we charge $25 less per week than the $375-plus most competitors quote.
What Fits in a 20-Yard Dumpster
- Household cleanouts: furniture, mattresses, boxes and general junk
- Kitchen, bathroom and flooring remodels
- Most residential roof tear-offs
- Garage, basement and attic cleanouts
- Yard waste, brush and limbs
- Deck, fence and shed demolition
Hazardous materials, liquids, batteries and tires are not allowed. Review the accepted items list and the prohibited items list before you load. For roofing jobs, see our roofing dumpster guide.
Who a 20-Yard Dumpster Is For
Homeowners use it for remodels, cleanouts and roofing. Landlords use it between tenants. Small contractors use it for weekly job-site waste, and several local contractors rent it many times a year. It is not designed for large commercial demolition, which needs larger containers.
